The brand new iWPS website is now up & running on http://www.poetsasylum.org/iwps2005/ . Pass it on.

There is stuff about the hotel, transportation, and more.

We're going to be adding new content all the time. I'll let everybody know when it's been updated.

(Also realize I'm not much of a designer, so please let me know if it makes your eyes bleed.)

yrs,
dawn

Thanks, Scott.

Bill created the original site map, and I just designed around that.  He's definitely put a lot of thought into this.

well done.
i'll definitely be pointing my crew at it as an example as we assemble ourselves to bid(and hopefully execute)IWPS2006.
i am really gratefull that the first couple of these are being handled in such exemplary fashion-it lays a template to ensure future sucess by those who come after as surely as it does for those who are putting on the evnt at the time.
as one of those preparing to do this in the near future it's invaluable.
many thanks and congrats.
much love

The initial iWPS application deadline has passed. There are still slots available in this contest but we are no longer reserving them for representatives of local venues. All remaining slots are now available for open sign up. If the total of 60 slots fills before January 1, we will continue to give precedence to those poets traveling from long distances, particularly those from countries other than the United States. Our second priority will continue to be poets who are selected in open competition from certified Poetry Slam venues. But neither of those conditions should serve to keep anyone from signing up for this great contest. You can sign up in the poetryslam.com online store (on the signup page) or you can come to it from the iWPS page where it says to take these three steps and provides links for all:

1. Be a PSI member through February of 2005 (apply for membership online)

2. Pay $100 registration/application fee (available in the PSI e-store, or by check or money order through the mail)

3. Fill out the online application form

50 slots are reserved for representatives of certified venues, and 10 slots are reserved for people who can't get to a venue. Please promote this to  all Spoken Word artists everywhere, especially in foreign countries.
