With no Green Mill team this year, Marc and the Uptown Poetry Slam have been very very supportive to Mental Graffiti. Even in his percieved hateration, he's still helping somebody(s) move forward.

I actually didn't think that the article was bad.  I don't even think it was really negative, Ive definitely read much more negative things in articles, put much more harshly.

People Love Drama.

A point of geekiness, I play an MMORPG, everyone says that they hate drama, BUT everyone pines to play on the server with the most Drama, they think its the best.  Who hae the most friends on the scene--The Drama Queens.

Basically, a good article. It kept you reading, didn't it? And that's because it hallmarks the internal conflict in our community. We ain't all peaches and cream, sunny days and picnics - and we don't all agree about what this thing "poetry slam" should be. I liked Marc's reference to himself and fellow Chicagoan as Promethean. The fire indeed.
