web hosting suggestions?
« on: April 14, 2007, 07:49:36 AM »
Hey, guys:

I'm in the market for a new host for slamnews.com (it's currently hosted by friends who are cutting back on their hardware). I don't need much: the site is small and there's no streaming anything on it. The only real requirement I have is that I get unlimited emails@slamnews.

Who hosts your personal or venue site? Suggestions? Anyone to avoid?

If you're not opposed to banner ads, I'd say try netfirms.com and look at one of their packages.

dcslam.com and slamicide.com are hosted on 1and1.com and I like them. multiple packages and one that will more likely than not fit your needs.

4luvofpoetry.com is hosted on startlogic.com. one price, nice package though.

Another place to look, though I don't like them nearly as much is logjamming.com. eh...whatever.

I know a lot of poets use either godaddy.com or doteasy.com (which might also work out for you...but i think they've changed their pricing structure since i last used them.
